The night sky was clear and the stars and moon hung in the sky like leaves on a tree. Kirouko gazed up at them admiringly; where he sat inside the caverns he was directly in a ray of the moons light causing him to seemingly light up, from there he could also see a paw full of stars. Infervesco Springs was where he was located, his favorite place to go when he was stressed or just needed time to think. He always admired the calming water, the warm fresh air, and of course the caverns.
A small thought popped into his mind.
“One….two….three….four” he began counting the yellow specks in the sky. At that moment he felt slightly uncomfortable, paranoid, like someone was…..watching him. He slowly rose to his paws and padded out of the cavern and out into the open. He glanced around, still feeling paranoid.
’Okay Kirouko, get a grip on reality, your letting your paranoia get the best of you.’ He thought to himself, releasing a sigh. He looked around once more, not sure what to do. No matter what he kept telling himself he still couldn’t shake the faint feeling of someone or something watching him, waiting. He forced himself to settle down and examine the beautiful night sky again.
’Just count the stars……it will calm my nerves.’ He locked his eyes on the sky above. “One….two….three….” Kirouko kept counting, trying to ignore the strange, uncomfortable feeling.

Daciana walked through the cave farthest away from the others. She moved through the passage way, her paw steps making no sound on the stone floor beneath her. Her nostrils flared at the smell of warm water and wet stone. She wanted to relax, and the warmth surrounding her was already allowing her muscles to loosen and the calm to take place in her soul. She wasn't worried for a moment, wasn't searching for the drug for her addiction. A large sigh left her, she inhaled again and the scent of another wolf filled her nose.
She paused, padding her way behind a stalagmite she peered around it and watched as a black wolf seemed to be counting the stars. He stood and left the cave for a moment only to turn back and continue to count the stars. She tilted her head with curiousity. He was a beautiful male, taller than her and somewhat muscular. She had seen bigger wolves, but not many were taller than him. She admired his black coat for a few moments, even the scars for scars showed strength and a warrior. But then smelled what he was, an Aequus. She thought for a moment about leaving, but that was a coward's way out. Daci moved out from behind the pillar of rock and walked toward the wolf.
"Hello, Acedo," she did not know his name so she referred to him by his species. Acedos were not her favorite species, they were often full of themselves and considered themselves better than all other wolves. She was surprised they turned out how they did. But she did not hate them, she loved them like all the wolves she helped create. Acedo were special just like every single other species of wolf, they just tended to have more quirks. Daci was too found of her creations to hate them.
"What are you doing?" she asked cocking her head to the side, she wanted to know for sure.

Kirouko was taken by surprise when she spoke. He was more surprised with himself than her, how could he not have sensed her? He also felt a bit taken back when she referred to him as, ‘Acedo’ even though that was his race, he didn’t enjoy being called that. It only took a moment for him to get over it.
He took a moment to examine her appearance, she was quiet small for a Shiran epically to him, and from what he could see in the moonlight her eyes were beautiful. He shook his head slightly, recognizing her scent.
’Nerque…..she’s from a different pack and she’s a different species,’ He thought, his eyes still glues to her. He let out a suppressed sigh and finally decided to reply. ”Hello Shiran,” he replied just as calm as he tried to appear.
”If you must know I was counting the stars, it’s relaxing.’ At that moment he noticed that the paranoia he felt before had disappeared, vanished.
Kirouko glanced up at the starry sky, then back down at the female wolf. He thought for a moment, considering what he should or shouldn’t do, and then he thought of something. Instead of doing nothing and looking like a fool he finally pulled himself together. “I am Kirouko,” He added, he held his head high acting as if he was proud to be who he was.
