It gained its namesake from the deer that congregate here during summer and spring to eat the tall grasses. The deer are a great source of food for the wolves of Aequus, though they tend to come here in large numbers and therefore are harder to catch. The grasses are so tall that they can in some places reach up to the belly of the deer and hide most of the wolves. The soft smell of meadow sweet hangs about the large expanse of Cervus meadow.
